Before you get started, it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with what all of the tabs and links are.  At the top of your screen, you'll see 4 main menu items: Home, Learn, Share, and Teach.

Home

In the upper portion of your Home page, you will find links to editing and viewing your profile, starting, viewing, and enrolling in courses, and also your Mochapoints and Teacher Score totals.  Below all of this, you will see more boxes for Suggested Language Partners, Friends, Submissions, Recent Activity, as well as a Poll.

You will also see a box titled Premium Upgrades.  Signing up for LiveMocha is free, and many wonderful features are included.  You can, though, opt to pay for an upgrade.  Anywhere you see a plus sign, assume that is referring to a feature you must pay for.

Learn

Learn is just one of the links that will take you directly to your course - you will see a link that says 'Start Course.'  You will also see what units are included in your course, as well as your Course Progress and Score.

Share

Share takes you to a page of member submissions that come specifically from those who are trying to learn your language.  When you review someone's written exercise, you can rate their spelling, quality, and grammar, in addition to leaving comments.  Spoken submissions can be rated based on pronunciation and quality, in addition to an option for leaving comments.  (In order to protect the privacy of all members, no screenshots of their profiles or submissions have been included).  This feature of LiveMocha truly makes it an interactive language learning tool, and can ensure that other members are getting productive feedback.  Members can also interact with each other via chats.  Additionally, there are options to change when you are seen as 'Online.'

Teach

The fourth of these main tabs is Teach, an opportunity for earning money and credits that has not yet launched.  You can prepare for this by updating the "Teacher" section of your profile, by leaving instructive reviews on member's written and spoken submissions, and also by creating flashcard sets to boost your  Teacher Score.  If you have a high number of Teacher contributions, you may be asked to participate!

Now you know where everything is.  Visit the Coursework link in the sidebar to the left to find out how to figure out your course!
